This counselling practice started the way a lot of good things do: through lived experience, a few honest conversations, and a growing need to do something that actually makes a difference.

I’ve worked in all kinds of places – from crisis services and universities to kitchens, boardrooms, and training rooms. I’ve been a chef, a diving instructor, a youth counsellor, and a mental health educator. What’s stuck with me through it all is the value of showing up for people – really listening, staying present, and helping them make sense of what’s going on.

I started this practice because I wanted to create a space where people feel safe to talk about the hard stuff – without judgement, without pressure, and without needing to have it all figured out first.

What I’m About

I believe counselling doesn’t have to be clinical or cold. It can be grounded, collaborative, and even have a sense of humour. I work with individuals and couples to unpack challenges, find clarity, and build tools that actually fit real life.

My approach draws from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), EFT for couples, and practical, trauma-informed support. I work with people navigating anxiety, stress, relationships, identity, life transitions, grief, and plain old overwhelm.

Not a Big Team – Just Me

When you book a session, you’re getting me – not a rotating roster or a call centre. If we work together, you’ll get someone who listens deeply, calls it as he sees it (gently), and genuinely cares about how you’re going.
